About us
Nice Try Productions is here to bring stories to life. From eccentrically creative to imperfectly mundane tales about human beings, the universe and all that is between and beyond. As a budding UK company, we aspire to become a dynamic part of both the UK and global filmmaking ecosystem, by offering a wide range of services across the different production phases. With over 10 years of hands-on experience in the filmmaking industry under our belt, we’re here to curiously explore the world.
Our aim at Nice Try Productions is to give voice to talented directors - whether working on their early films or further ahead in their career. We are keen to uncover hidden potentials of compelling stories. Stories which might, at first glance, be overlooked by commissioners. This is where our talented team steps in to design a competitive film pitch. Directors will only need to brief us once, and then they’ll never have to worry about the daunting, detailed stages of the pitching process again.
As we move into the production stage, Nice Try Productions is proud to have a team with extensive field experience, shooting in hostile and challenging locations, including war zones and wildlife ecosystems. This allows us to handle and coordinate even the toughest film shoots.
Nice Try Productions also offers VFX services, and because the actual VFX work happens in pre-production, we provide Previz and storyboarding services in our Onset VFX supervision packages. This means that directors get to let their imagination run free, and our team will bring their vision to life.
