Crocodopolis

Drowning Alexandria
Set in Alexandria’s Makks district, this documentary follows a close-knit fishing community facing the threats of climate change, urban development, and displacement. Through the daily routines of characters like Gaz, a seasoned fisherman, and other residents, the film explores their struggles, memories, and resilience as their heritage is threatened. Key locations include Al-Fanar, Lokanda Hamra, the fish market, and unique wooden houses. Blending personal stories, archival footage, and expert interviews, the film meditates on what is lost and what endures when a way of life is at risk.

Home Eulogy Ltd.
Sally runs “Home Eulogy Ltd.”, a quirky business in Bristol helping people bury the memories of living ex-lovers and lost friendships. After evicting a spider from her bike, Sally pedals through the city, answering clients' odd requests to host mock funerals for the not-quite-dead. When she helps Catherine ceremonially “bury” her ex-boyfriend, Jacob, things take an unexpectedly surreal turn. Mixing dark comedy and gentle satire, the film is a whimsical exploration of heartbreak, letting go, and the coping rituals people invent when moving on proves harder than expected.
